In the late 1920s and early 1930s as a nurse’s dormitory, the building was planned to get three wings but it ended up with only two. Due to this reason the building sat as an “F” rather than an “E”. So “completing the “E” doesn’t mean replicating the existing building’s style, footprint, or materials. It means making the old building work in its new life as a school. The addition of the brick facade show continuation with the old, while the contemporary elevations covered in Swisspearl signal change: of function, of users, and of attitude.LocationWashington, DC, USAArchitectPerkins Eastman, Washington, L-V-COUNTRY-USBuilderDistrict of Columbia International School, Washington, DC, L-V-COUNTRY-USPartnerCHU Contracting, Inc. , Chantilly, L-V-COUNTRY-USYear2018PhotographerBrycen Fischer Photography LLC, Lutherville , L-V-COUNTRY-US Downloads Project Sheet DC International School pdf 10,7 MB Back to the overview Select several references and design your individual lookbook for downloadingYour individual lookbook for download (0)Your individual lookbook+ show entire selection- reduce displayed selectionCreate PDFAdd to lookbookIn lookbook
