In the quaint streets where Edwardian architecture paints a portrait of the early 20th century, a particular residence stands out, not just for its historical allure but for its seamless embrace of contemporary design through a thoughtful extension. This project skillfully integrates Swisspearl Fibre Cement cladding to enhance its aesthetic and functional value while maintaining a dialogue with its environment.

A Nod to the Past, A Step Towards the Future

The home, originally built in the early 1900s, boasts the distinctive Edwardian features of red large bay windows, and ornamental detailing. The extension, however, introduces a subtle contrast through its use of Swisspearl Fibre Cement cladding in a light tone. This choice is not merely aesthetic but a thoughtful nod to the light and airy interiors that characterise Edwardian homes.

Blending With the Landscape

The extension's design considers its surroundings not only by echoing the historical context of the area but also through its environmentally conscious construction. Moreover, the garden-facing aspect of the extension uses large glass panels that not only invite natural light but also create a seamless transition to the outdoors, blurring the lines between the built environment and the natural landscape.
