It is entirely round, similar to one of the preserved silos from the area’s past, and constructed using rustic materials such as concrete, steel, and glass. A prominent design element on the striking facade is the Patina Original facade panels. The Eternit ground in Aalborg has undergone a significant transformation from an old industrial area to one of the city’s trendiest neighborhoods. Architect-designed office buildings, modern apartments and student housing, large grocery stores, fitness centers, and more are emerging on the site, often referred to by locals as “Eternitten”. From a political standpoint, it has been decided to preserve several of Eternitten’s old buildings and characteristic silos as a reminder of the area’s industrial past as a fibre cement production plant, and one of the developers on the site has embraced and built upon this idea. Plus Bolig’s round building is designed with a focus on the area’s industrial history and its contemporary surroundings, fitting in harmoniously while also serving as a natural focal point in the neighborhood.LocationAalborg, DenmarkArchitectErik Arkitekter, Aalborg, DenmarkPartnerMyhlenberg Byg, Arden, DenmarkYear2015PhotographerFotograferne Nibe, Nibe, Denmark Downloads Project Sheet Plus Bolig pdf 2,5 MB Back to the overview Select several references and design your individual lookbook for downloadingYour individual lookbook for download (0)Your individual lookbook+ show entire selection- reduce displayed selectionCreate PDFAdd to lookbookIn lookbook
