The building is completely round, reminiscent of one of the preserved silos from the area’s industrial past, and is constructed using robust materials such as concrete, steel, and glass. A striking design element on the distinctive façade is the use of Patina Original facade panels. The Eternit site in Aalborg has undergone a major transformation—from an old industrial area into one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the city. Architect-designed office buildings, modern apartments and student housing, large supermarkets, fitness centers, and more are emerging on the site, which is often referred to by locals as “Eternitten.” From a political perspective, it was decided to preserve several of Eternitten’s old buildings and characteristic silos as a reminder of the area’s industrial heritage as a fiber cement factory. One of the developers on the site has embraced and expanded on this idea. Plus Bolig’s round building was designed with respect for both the area’s industrial history and its modern surroundings, creating a harmonious presence that also serves as a natural focal point in the neighborhood. Please note: this project features the previous generation of Patina, but since the color range of Patina NXT is the same, this reference gives a good impression of the overall look and feel of Patina NXT.LocationAalborg, DenmarkArchitectErik Arkitekter, Aalborg, DenmarkPartnerMyhlenberg Byg, Arden, DenmarkYear2015PhotographerFotograferne Nibe, Nibe, Denmark Downloads Project Sheet Plus Bolig pdf 2,5 MB Back to the overview Select several references and design your individual lookbook for downloadingYour individual lookbook for download (0)Your individual lookbook+ show entire selection- reduce displayed selectionCreate PDFAdd to lookbookIn lookbook
