The large window bands of the facades, the glazed doors of the vehicle hall and generous skylights provide natural lighting and allow beautiful views of the surroundings and the nearby mountains. Due to its typology, the depot enables a rational handling of the various functional processes of the fire department operation. The hall is aligned in such a way that all vehicles are positioned in the direction of departure. The two-sided space layer around the vehicle hall together with the bypassing of the building enable an efficient management of the vehicles and depot spaces. In terms of construction, the solitaire is a mixed building rich in contrasts: a striking timber structure spans and defines the large vehicle hall, while the layer of functional rooms consists of raw concrete and sand-lime bricks.StedInterlaken, SwitzerlandArkitektMorscher Architekten BSA SIA AG, Bern, SveitsEierFeuerwehr Bödeli, Interlaken, SveitsEntreprenørHTI Holzbau AG, Interlaken, SveitsÅr2016FotografZimmermannfotografie, Zürich, Sveits Tilbake til oversikten
