It is finally here: the option of integrating functional and highly efficient solar roofs into the building envelope as an aesthetic design element. Swisspearl Sunskin Roof Lap blends seamlessly into the roof design thanks to frameless in-roof modules.
Sunskin solar roof surfaces replace conventional roof coverings and provide reliable protection against wind and weather. Thanks to the customisation options for the size of the modules and the wide range of Swisspearl supplementary panels, you can enjoy maximum design freedom.
«We use Swisspearl PV systems on many houses because we can carefully integrate them into the roof surfaces thanks to the sophisticated detailed solutions. We are also impressed by the high quality and expert advice.» Thomas Metzler, Bauatelier Metzler
The Sunskin solar modules cover a wide range of different formats and are available as standard modules with lightly textured solar glass or with satin-finished glass (low glare). Combine Sunskin Roof Lap and Facade modules with the Swisspearl facade and roof product of your choice or with the standard Aura 2 supplementary plate in elegant black – for the design of harmonious overall architecture.
In addition to the standard Aura 2 supplementary plate in elegant black, the Sunskin modules can be combined with our entire range of roof plates.
But small-format roofing slate, medium-format panels such as Structa or our Swisspearl corrugated panel Ondapress are also excellent choices for creative supplementary solutions.
Our Sunskin modules are available in the following formats:
Use the official solar roof calculator from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) and find out what potential your roof has with just a few clicks and details – or arrange a no-obligation consultation with our experts.
The Sunskin solar modules, available in a variety of formats, harmonise perfectly with Swisspearl's roofing solutions for the other, non-sun-facing sides of the roof. The result is not only a sustainable, but also a completely harmonious roof covering.
The modules are made using the latest glass-glass technology, the system plates are made of aluminium and the module hooks are made of coated chrome-nickel steel.
Technology
Monocrystalline solar cells, tempered solar glass (ESG), frameless, glass-glass construction
Application
Photovoltaic in-roof system suitable for many roof shapes and pitches ≥ 10°, straight or staggered joints possible.
The term photovoltaics refers to generators (also known as solar modules or solar panels) that convert solar energy into electricity.
Are you unsure whether solar power would be profitable for your property?
Swisspearl Sunskin modules consist of two rolled glass panes. This makes them more resilient and durable than conventional glass-film modules, and they achieve an operating time of up to 40 years.
We have illustrated how a solar power system is constructed, how it works and what happens to the electricity generated.
The Sunskin Roof Lap solar modules are so sophisticated that any roof with a pitch of 10° to 60° can be used for a photovoltaic system. A Sunskin Roof Lap module generates up to 200 kWh/year under ideal conditions. To cover the average annual electricity needs of a 4-person household (about 5,500 kWh)*, a solar roof area of about 35 m2 is needed. *without electric hot water.
At federal level, photovoltaic systems are subsidised by the one-off payment (EIV). In addition, some cantons and municipalities subsidise photovoltaic systems and battery storage. Furthermore, in most cantons the investment costs of solar energy systems on existing buildings are tax deductible.
